Connected Parts Printing Guide

The connected-parts method is created to connect those parts which are less than our minimum printing size 5mm*5mm*5mm/10mm*10mm*2mm, so max 10pcs small parts can be connected in 1 file. But all the separate parts should be connected and combined in 1 large part (1 shell) to proceed and the wall thickness of the connection area should be more than 1.5mm. 3.0mm is required if the connection areas need to stay unified and not broken apart.

Moreover, there will be some cons for printing the connected parts , for example : peel-off on the surface, deformation, scratch lines, obvious textures and bad dimension precision. Also, the connected areas are easily broken apart and even damage the parts. We shall never accept any complaints by the issues mentioned above because of the connected parts.

So, usually for the part which is above our minimum printing size, we do not suggest connecting them to be printed.

Please Kindly Note:

1.Parts printed with FDM and SLM technologies are NOT supported in this connected way.

2.Connected-design parts will requires more extra materials; more extra time in the post processing and package etc. So extra cost 0.1$/pcs will be charged. Also, the build time will add 1-2 more business days.

For example : The reference image below is “10pcs small parts”, the extra cost should be 0.1$/pcs * 10pcs = 1$.
